ROTARY CLUB OF LUTON NORTH 10K RUN FOR 'STROKE' Minimize

Rotary Club of Luton North
Every year 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Most are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children.

A stroke is the third most common cause of death in the UK, it is also the leading cause of severe adult disability. More than 250,000 people live with disabilities caused by stroke.

You can help by taking part in the Rotary Club of Luton North 10k Run for 'Stroke' on Sunday September 14th. 2008. Starting at 10.30am.

The run will start and finish at the Regional Sports Centre, Stopsley, Luton, and will be mainly off-road and traffic free, around the predominantly firm and stony bridle paths, trails and footpaths under Warden Hills, in the beautiful countryside on the North Eastern edge of Luton.

The route will be marshalled and signed and there will be drinks stations at the 5k point and at the finish. The run will be Policed and we will have an Ambulance and two radio controlled 4x4 vehicles on the course with first aid facilities.

Your efforts will make a huge difference to these very worthwhile charities, and on their behalf, we would like to thank you in advance.

The Stroke AssociationApart from playing a very important part in supporting the charities, I’m sure you will have a wonderful experience in this run, and get great satisfaction from completing it.

The Stroke Association produces a range of leaflets and factsheets on stroke issues.
